Most requests get their first bid within a few minutes. You can leave a request open as long as you like and accept whichever bid you prefer.

How long does it take to cook and deliver my meal?

Prep and delivery time varies by meal. A simple 15-minute noodle dish moves faster than a slow-braised or multi-component recipe. Each bid includes a chef-paced ETA based on the recipe, prep, and your delivery address. Once you accept a bid, your chef updates the status timeline so you can follow along from cooking to delivery.

When am I charged?

You pay at checkout right after you accept a bid. Nothing is charged while your request is still taking bids.

Can I message my chef?

Yes. Once you accept a bid, an order chat opens on the order page so you can share allergies, spice level, buzzer codes and delivery details.

Something went wrong with my order.

Open the order and use Report a problem. That starts a dispute thread where you can add notes and upload photos as evidence, and our team replies in the same thread.

How do refunds and cancellations work?

Support can cancel an order and record a refund receipt against it. Refund amounts, references and notes show up on your order page so you always have a record.

How do I become a chef?

Go to the Chef portal and apply with your kitchen name and ZIP code. Once your application is approved you can start bidding on open requests.

How does bidding work?

Browse open requests in your area and submit a price and an ETA. If the customer accepts your bid the job moves into your kitchen queue.

How do I update a customer?

Advance the job through Cooking, Out for delivery and Delivered from your queue. Each step updates the customer's status timeline, and you can chat with them in the order thread.

What if a customer opens a dispute?

Support reviews the dispute thread and the order history. Keep your order chat accurate and add photos of the finished dish where it helps.

Why was my chef account suspended?

Accepted Answer

Accounts can be paused while support reviews repeated cancellations, safety concerns or unresolved disputes. Contact support and we'll walk through what's needed.
